fall things to do in duluth

If you decided to take a quick trip to Duluth, these are some fall activities you can do. I always told myself I would never leave the Twin Cities because the rest of Minnesota scares me but alas here we are trying new things and getting out of my comfort zone for the black girl travel guides.

Enger Tower

Not gonna lie with you I was a little bit confused when I saw this tower because pictures online made it look huge. Once we got inside the tower though the stairs definitely made it feel like a bigger tower. The view was cute but the spot we went to next was more intriguing for me.

Hawkridge Nature Reserve

Now this view was A LOT better in my opinion. It actually looked stunning. If you are a bird watcher this is the place to be too. I’m not a bird watcher but there were a lot of people watching birds there. If you love autumn though I feel like this is a must see for fall things to do in duluth.

Northern Waters Smokehaus

I know what you’re thinking – why are you including food options in a fall things to do in Duluth list? Well because I feel like when you visit, you might want to go to some of the staple spots. Warning this sandwich line spot is really long. But I will say that the sandwhiches were good. I got the pastrami mommy.

Betty's Pies

I got the… honestly I can’t remember the name but I just asked what their most popular one was and it was the option that involved a lot of berries. It was alright. Online made it sound like this was going to be the best baked goods in the world. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t life changing.

All in all, I would rate Duluth a 5/10 because it was a nice lil get away and the leaves but wasn’t necessarily super special for me. I am glad that I went. Will I be going again? Probably not but it was worth it for the trees and hills/slight elevation. But if you do want to see my youtube recap video of the trip on film, you can check it out here!
