Black-Owned Activities In Minneapolis: Social Spaces

If you are looking for Black owned activities in Minneapolis, this list is for you. This sunday, I am releasing my honest thoughts about Minnesota for my Black Girl Travel Guides on youtube. To be honest, I feel like the video is more negative than I intended it to be. So I also want to give helpful resources to navigate Minneapolis. Here are some social Black-owned activites in Minneapolis to check out if you live here or in the area. But you can see all my other Minneapolis resources here.

Her Haus

Her Haus is a space for Black women above the age of 21 who want to socialize and meet new people. They have hosted heels classes, community mixers, pickleball and more. I have been to one of their events in the past and it’s cute, a vibe and a great way to meet other transplants too. You can check them out on instagram @_herhaus

Playfessionals

As the name suggests, this is for Black professionals who want to play and have fun. Basically like her haus but not just for women. It’s open to all Black people. They are actually. Stay up to date with them on instagram on @playfessionals.

Reviving Roots

Reviving roots is a Black centered, Black serving mental wellness space.  They host co-working Wednesdays and Black healer’s book club. I should have maybe put this under Black-owned fitness activities instead of Black-owned activities in Minneapolis because they also host other fitness and wellness activities. Follow them on instagram @revivingrootswellness for more.

Twin Cities Skaters

This is for my people who want to learn how to roller skate for free. They are going to be out and about all summer you definitely want to try them in the summer before it’s too cold!
